How we work

AI as the cornerstone, craftsmanship as the principle

AI is the driving force — but the craftsmanship around it is what determines the outcome

When we build with AI, we move fast. Really fast.

But speed without structure just creates technical debt at record pace. That is why we have built a working environment where AI does not merely write code — it writes code that is reviewed, version-controlled, security-tested and delivered in the same way as in a large development organisation.

Even an apparently simple website is delivered according to the same core principles as a business-critical system: separate development and production environments, automated security checks, a version history per release and a documented path back if something goes wrong.

None of this is visible to you as a client. But it is the difference between a solution that just works today and one that still works in two years.

Hand in hand with AI

AI is the developer, Comega is the architect — with ten years of experience in complex enterprise systems. Together, solutions are delivered at a pace that previously required large teams.

AI writes code fast – but someone needs to know what to build, what pitfalls lie ahead, and how business-critical systems hold up over time. Comega has over ten years of experience in requirements specification and system design, with thousands of users behind it. That experience is what turns AI's speed into solutions that actually work – at a fraction of the previous cost.

Multiple layers of security

Review, scanning and penetration testing of every solution.

Before code reaches production, it is reviewed with multiple independent security tools — scanning for known vulnerabilities and insecure patterns.

Comega also deploys internal AI agents that simulate attacks on the solution and search for weaknesses in the codebase that an attacker could exploit. For systems handling authentication, customer data, or business logic, this is standard practice — not an optional add-on.

Traceability

Full control of the history — valuable information for you as a client, Comega as architect, and for our AI when the next milestone is reached.

We version-control and document every change — at any point you can see exactly what was done and why. We can roll back to a previous version if anything unexpected occurs. Traceability is not an afterthought; it is how the work is structured from day one.

Testing before production

Changes are reviewed by you before your customers see them

A simple change can have unexpected consequences in a live environment. That is why every project has a separate test environment running in parallel with the production environment. New features and updates are verified there first and published to the production environment only when everything works as expected. Nothing untested is exposed to real traffic.

A reliable foundation

Our systems run on Microsoft Azure in Sweden — with backup and monitoring

A solution is only as strong as the environment it runs in. Comega operates everything on Microsoft Azure in Sweden — with automatic backups, monitoring, and the ability to scale as traffic grows. Swedish data residency is not an add-on; it is the starting point.

Lessons that carry forward

Mistakes are made once, not twice

Many development projects repeat the same mistakes as the ones before — pitfalls are often carried by individuals and disappear when someone moves on.

Comega documents every pitfall, lesson and solution on an ongoing basis, and the AI developer reviews them before each new project. A short engagement gets the same building blocks as a long one. That is how a small company can deliver the same quality as a large one.
